Myself and a bunch of other cool people get together every two weeks for The Chats. The Chats is a semi-formal method of learning developed by me because I'm pissed off with current teaching methods, practices, and styles.... and I desperately need consistent income.
Every two weeks there is a new language pack, each language pack consists of some sort of materials to guide The Chats.

Little Seal English Lottery Podcast
Here's an old podcast I made about the lottery many moons ago. I am not one to ever buy a lottery ticket, but I always want to win. I guess that's a conundrum I am going to have to figure out in my own time.
Anyways, download the workbook and give this podcast a listen to!
The lotto is something every country has in common. Research the lotto and find some facts, thoughts, or videos about the lottery or famous situations involving the lottery.
To the left, you can see several links about the lottery. Why not have a read of some of those and develop some talking points about the topic of the lottery.

I'm a firm believer in learning real English from real English sources, nothing more real than these!

We meet twice a month for between 60-90 minutes a session. Optional materials are posted weekly to The Chats page to keep you motivated and give you structure.

When are the materials released?
Course Packs are uploaded to the student area of the website twice per month.
The Chats course packs are uploaded and members are notified via Facebook and email.
Do I have to participate in the Facebook group?
Oh god no, not at all. You don't have to join or even participate in the Facebook group. If you want, you can just listen and learn. If you want, you can share your answers. If you want, you can just access the course and go to The Chats. It's a free life my friend, you do you.
What if I don't like it?
Not a problem, at all! We have all gotten into something that wasn't for us.
If within the first 48 hours of logging in to your account you decide that this membership is not for you, shoot me a message and I'll refund you, 100%, no questions asked.
However, if you attend a Thursday Chats, you are only eligible for a 50% refund. After 48 hours, there are no refunds for the month.
What if I have questions?
I'm glad you asked, there are three ways that you can submit your questions:
- Telegram Group
- Student dashboard on the website
- Email
You can post questions to the Telegram group either publicly or privately directly to Ronan. There is a form you can complete on the website, or you can send an email. You will get your answer privately and it may also be posted to the Telegram group as other students may have the same question.
Questions are answered Monday to Friday, not on Canadian holidays.
What are the The Chats?
Twice a month Ronan and whoever else go live on Zoom to chat! The Chats gives you an opportunity to practice the Key English from the course pack.
The Chats are informal and natural, this means there is no formal teaching but there are planned communication activities.
Join The Chats to:

- Ask questions and get answers
- Take part in different language learning activities

How do I cancel my membership?
If you want to cancel your membership you can notify Ronan by emailing him at [email protected].
Please do this five business days before your renewal date.
Please do not cancel via the website, please email Ronan.
If you have paid for the month, you will get full access until the month is over even if you cancel mid month. I also understand that there are times when we forget to cancel a membership and get billed, don't worry, you can email Ronan to explain that you meant to cancel before the renewal date and you'll be refunded for the month providing you have not logged in to the website. If you have logged in, you may not be eligible for the monthly refund.
What is the Little Seal Library?
I'm glad you asked! The Little Seal Library is a collection of lessons I have created over the course of my teaching career. The Little Seal Library is my experiment with new materials and a place where i can teach exactly WHAT and HOW I want to teach. This is included for all members of The Chats, it's one of my ways of ensuring you learn the most real and relevant English.
